Former Pak Chief along with Indian Stars, promotes Girl Child cause: Goof-up India

Leaving red faces in the government, an official advertisement by the ministry of women and child development(WCD) against female foeticide, which appeared in newspapers on Sunday, carried the photograph of a former Pakistan Air Force chief.(courtesy: Financial Express).

The idea was to have Indian heroes promote the cause, but in a major blunder we had the former Pak Air Force chief Anvir Ahmed, instead of Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal PV Naik.

Former Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major told this reporter: "It was sheer negligence and a major goof-up, that goes on to show how less the people (including those in power) understand their own armed forces." The uniforms, insignia, crest, roundel and even colour pattern of uniforms are different.

A brilliant comedy of errors that we along with the rest of world can laugh on, but its a shame and an embarrassment at the time.

However, in all this The Third Eye says: It is a conspiracy, to embarrass the country. Fingers but point to China as the possible hand. In all but speculations. :)

  1. The reaction to this advertisement brings forth the limited vision of certain people. Has anyone thought that the former Pak Air Marshal is also a son of some mother? It may not have been that big an issue had he not been the only foreign national among the others projected in the advertisement. The ad is about great people born of their mothers(a woman, not Indian or Paki

i agree with you. But i must also point out that the reaction is towards the goof-up..

certainly the ad is about great people, but the inclusion of Pakistani former air force chief was by accident..

but thanks once again for the Muse!
